Sports Awards

Today was a very special day. We got our Sports Awards for Netball and Rippa Rugby. We had a few games and they were great. It was not the best seaon with lockdown happening but we had some good times. Thank you Ms. Va'afusuaga, coaches, managers and parents for supporting and taking care of us.   

Prize Giving

We had our Prize Giving celebration today. We had it outside because we had to social distance. The celebration was live streamed so our families could share this special occassion with us. It was a beautiful sunny day. Lots of children got awards for their hard work and efforts in their learning. Then we went onto the stage and sang a song for the school and our parents. It has been a fantastic year and everyone is so proud of us! Later that day, the teachers decided to have our own little celebration so that they could shake our hands and give us our awards.

Our Garden

We did some gardening in our classroom bay.

Caylee and I are digging a

 hole to plant the flower.

Monaro and Aroha had no problem wearing gloves. 

They got tools ready for planting.

It was really exciting.

We planted some beautiful flowers.

It wasn't tricky for Arthur to put the gloves on.

Mr. Shaw watered our garden for us because plants 

need water and sunlight to grow.

Lizzy the lizard

During playtime Me, Aroha, Faith and Caylee found a baby lizard. We decided to called it Lizzy.  We took care of Lizzy and found her a new and safe home.

I enjoyed finding words that have ee in it. 

Matching words

Todays home learning I had to match the words that sound the same at the end.

I was able to match the words quickly and it was fun.

The story was called The Gardener. Me and my sister listened to this short story and then answer the questions

I filled in the missing letters from the words and the match them to the pictures.

I saw how beautiful the skys was so I decided to take a photo to put on my blog. 

Loud Shirt Day

For Loud Shirt day we got to create our own loud shirt using different food colouring. We used one of our old white t-shirt, Mum helped Faith by using a string to divide her shirt into 6 diff end parts, then using one colour into each part.

My dad helped me to put the colours I wanted on my shirt, I also wanted mine different from my sister so I folded it in half and then folded it up again, tied the string to make four different part. My dad then put in the colour and then hung them to dry. We were both excited to put it on this morning.

This was extra special as we were also doing this for our big cousin Kaylee Wipani who is hearing impaired. I hope she likes what we’ve done for her.

Writing Test

Today our teacher wanted to test our writing. We talked about Earthquake and the importance of knowing what to do if it does happen, and we were asked to draw a picture and then to write about it. 

I had to do a video and read it out just in case you don’t understand what I wrote.
