My family did our own Egg drop competition in the weekend.
We could use anything around the house to stop our egg from breaking when dropped from a great height but the only rule was that it had to be completed within 5 mins.
Here‘s what everyones protective case looked like before the drop.
- Dad - Ajani (his is in the pink container)
- Jahzara - Evangeline
- Faith - Me
The egg drop
My big brother Ajani went on top of our roof with the supervision on my Dad to test our eggs.
The results
- Broken eggs
- Eggs still intact
This competition was a lot of fun. I think next time I would use squishy material inside my box to stop my egg from breaking.
Hi Genevieve.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very fascinating experiment. You and your family found interesting ways to create a safe case for your delicate eggs.Yes I think you are right about putting lots of squishy material or maybe wrapping it in a hand towel would prevent your egg from breaking when it hits the ground. Let me know what happens.Keep up the great blogging!
Hi Gene, wow! That looks like an awesome challenge and lots of fun too. Great idea to use something squishy next time, you would definitely win. Can I join in the next egg challenge?
